Half the rooms in most offices are booked and empty.

That is a property cost before it is an AV one, and it is a number your CFO already has an opinion about. It is also the easiest thing in this category to measure, and almost nobody measures it before commissioning the next twenty rooms.

Rooms are designed to keep working when the link does not. If a panel loses its connection to the scheduling service, people can still book at the door, and the panel reconciles when the link returns. It does not become a locked room with a blank screen.
