WAN and SD-WAN
Two contracts do not always mean two routes. Both circuits are traced back to the exchange, and the failover test is witnessed and timed, not described.
A second circuit is not resilience if both of them enter your building through the same duct.
Two ISP contracts look like two routes on paper. On the ground they often share a duct, an exchange, or even the same carrier underneath two different brand names. Nobody finds out until the day both links go down together.
Consult SECCOM for a path diversity check, at no cost. It takes a day and it is the cheapest insurance in the estate.
What you get. A diversity statement naming the physical route of each path. A witnessed failover test: the network actually breaking and recovering, with timings. Not a design that says it would.
