Emergency Communication and Duress

A duress button is worth exactly what the response behind it is worth.

Most sites can say where the buttons are. Far fewer can say what happened the last time one was pressed, how long it took for somebody to acknowledge it, and whether the person who acknowledged it knew which room to go to.

Failure behaviour is stated. If the primary path to the monitoring position drops, the alert takes the secondary path automatically and raises the path failure as its own alarm. A silent system is treated as a fault until proven otherwise.

Where SECCOM stops. Who responds, and how quickly they can physically arrive, is set by your emergency plan and your staffing. SECCOM builds and measures the path that reaches them.
