Situation Room AV
The constraint is how many sources the room must show and whether a duty officer can raise the right one without a technician. The source list comes first.
A situation room is judged on the minute after somebody asks to see something.
The equipment list is rarely the constraint. The constraint is how many separate sources the room has to display, who owns each one, and whether the officer on duty can put the right one on the wall without opening a manual or calling a technician.
Crestron, Extron, Harman and Q-SYS all do the centralised source and display switching that an officer can drive under pressure. SECCOM specifies against whatever has to go on the wall.
Audio deserves the first hour of the design. A briefing the remote participant cannot follow stalls a decision. A slightly soft picture does not.
Where SECCOM stops. Where the deliverable is the room itself: operator consoles, the operational video wall, source integration, incident workflow and room resilience. That is SECCOM's Command Centre practice and it is specified there. This capability covers the AV inside a room that already exists or is being built by others.
