Monitoring with no service map tells you a disk is full but not who that stops. Your top ten business services are mapped to what they genuinely depend on.
You hear about the outage from a user before you hear about it from the monitoring.
That is not a coverage problem. Monitoring watches components. Users experience services. In most organisations nothing connects the two. Your monitoring will tell you a rack is drawing more power than last month. It cannot tell you whose work stops if that rack trips. A disk fills, an alert fires, and nobody can say which business process just stopped.
Where SECCOM stops. Automation runs only what you have signed off: a firmware baseline, a capacity check, a certificate renewal. Nothing restarts or reconfigures a production service without a named human approval, and SECCOM will not design it that way unless you ask.
