Multi-Site Remote Monitoring

Two hundred sites do not need two hundred people watching them. They need one rule about what reaches a person.

The cost of monitoring a network is bandwidth to every site and the salaried hours spent handling alarms that turned out to be a delivery van, a shutter, or a cleaner at 5 a.m. The cameras are the cheap part. A link into a tier-3 town costs what it costs, and you are buying two hundred of them for the next five years. Both of those costs are design decisions, and both are made before anything is installed.

Where Genetec, Honeywell or Milestone already ties a multi-site network together, SECCOM designs the filtering and alarm rules around it.

Failure behaviour is stated. When a site loses its link, recording continues locally at the site and back-fills to the centre when the link returns, with the gap logged. The site does not go dark and nobody has to remember it happened.
